Mystical druids, seafaring Vikings, cruel barbarians, nature cults, ancient ruins and myths and legends stretching back thousands of years are part of what makes Europe one of the most mysterious places on earth. Areas of this continent seem as if out of place and time while others are deeply routed in their ancient pasts. In addition to these mystical places are those of dark power that still manage to put people on edge.
While Europe is home to many ancient sites there is a small town in Spain that is home to one of the newest yet still most mysterious events on the continent. In 1971, a woman in the small town of Belmez noticed a face had spontaneously appeared in the concrete floor of her kitchen. Frightened, the woman ordered her son to destroy the floor and a lay a new one, but when the new concrete was put down a face reappeared. The tile was then taken for study.
